木棉村是广东省惠州市惠城区马安镇辖下的行政村。[1]据博雅地名网，村子始建于清雍正年间（1723年至1735年），因村里有一棵高大的木棉树而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1966年5月，木棉生产大队从平潭公社划出，归马安公社管委会；1983年11月社改区，改为黄棉乡；1987年1月撤区设镇，黄棉乡改为木棉管理区，后来成为木棉村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月把木棉村列为乡村治理示范村的创建单位（2021年度）。[1]
