历史沿革[edit]
1966年5月，木棉生产大队从平潭公社划出，归马安公社管委会；1983年11月社改区，改为黄棉乡；1987年1月撤区设镇，黄棉乡改为木棉管理区，后来成为木棉村委会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月把木棉村列为乡村治理示范村的创建单位（2021年度）。[1]
