地名与沿革[edit]

明末，这里有村民开设旅店、油榨、染店、中药店等，形成一条新街，是必经之路，故名新圩。[1][2]1950年设乡民会，1953年为乡人民政府，其后历经低级社（1955年）、高级社（1957年）、生产大队（1958年），1987年定为村民委员会。[3]

经济与社会[edit]

耕地以粮食作物和经济作物为主，林地种砂糖橘、桉树。村有党员40人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，新圩村（绿萝）列入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
