水石村委会在省道266线旁，管辖20个村民小组，人口4400多人。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
以辖区内的水石片村得名；1987年经封府（1987）16号文批准成立村委会。[1][2]解放前属开建县六区民胜乡，解放后属开建县土区石平乡；1958年分设民主、共和两个生产大队，1964年并为水石生产大队，1984年称乡人民政府，1987年定为村委会。[3]
经济与社会[edit]
山上种速生桉和砂糖橘，水田种稻谷、花生、玉米，鱼塘养四大家鱼，畜禽以散养为主。村有党员57人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
