长罗社区是莲都镇政府驻地所在的居民委员会，就在镇街之内，辖区10.2平方公里，居民6047人，分35个居民小组。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

名称取自罗计、长塘两村名各一字。[1]罗计、长塘两地1957年各成立高级社；1961年两社并作一个大队，其后1983年改为乡，1987年改村民委员会，2002年因镇政府驻此，改设居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

约一半居民住在镇街上，以商贸为主；其余居民住在周边村落，从事种养业，耕地较多，盛产稻谷。[1]莲都镇的特产龙潭藕，出自社区内的龙潭村。[1][2]近年有数家企业在社区办厂，是镇内办厂最多的村（居）委。[1]
