扬名村是怀集县怀城街道下辖的行政村，位于街道西部，距县城3.5公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
成立高级社时，取「声名远扬」的寓意定名。[1]
经济[edit]
村情材料称辖8个村民小组、278户、1259人，耕地833亩（水田732亩），山地8514亩；种植稻谷、玉米、小麦等，松脂基地5295亩，另营造速生丰产林1200亩。据2009年统计，全村社会总产值1987.2万元，人均收入5694元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，扬名村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年4月，列入2022年度广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]
