茅岗村是肇庆市高要区金利镇西南部的行政村，临双金公路，离镇城区约3公里，面积约5.68平方千米，下辖11个村民小组，博雅地名网载总人口2410人。村内的茅岗遗址是青铜时代早期遗址，为广东省文物保护单位。[1][2]

茅岗遗址[edit]

遗址分布在茅岗山南北两面山脚，属青铜时代早期，面积超过两万平方米，发掘于1978年，文化层约1米厚。[2]

堆积中含有大量贝壳和动物遗骸，种类有蚝、蛤、螺，以及猪、牛、鹿、羊、象、刺猬、青鱼、龟、鳄等，其中部分动物已属家养；另发现两具人类遗骸。[2]

遗址发现三组干栏式木构建筑，平面为长方形，左右各立一排木柱；其中甲组残存木柱14根。出土陶器以泥质陶为主，有釜、豆、盘、钵、罐等；还出土石器、骨器、草编织品残片和山枣、白果、橄榄的果核。[2]

碳十四测定炭化木头的年代为距今4070年至4290年，博雅地名网所录的发掘介绍认为这一数据偏早，据遗物特征，大致在距今3500年前后。1989年6月，广东省人民政府将其公布为文物保护单位。[2]

村里调整农业结构，由单一的水稻种植转向蔬菜、花卉种植和水产养殖等并举。[1]

沿革[edit]

起初（1952年）归古岗乡，1956年改隶中约乡；1958年同山斗合为茅岗大队，归金星公社，次年属金利公社。1968年与古坝合为红旗大队，1969年又拆开；1980年山斗自茅岗大队分出。[1]

1983年大队改乡，1987年改为村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年定名茅岗村民委员会。[1]
