全村463户、1874人，劳动力1400多人，耕地1000亩、鱼塘500亩。据村介绍，上年集体经济纯收入一百多万元，排在新桥各村委会之首。[1] 2019年9月列入2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年立广塘大队，1989年改设管理区；1994年一分为二，增出坭塘管理区；1998年改为村民委员会。[1]
