赤坎村紧挨新桥镇城区，471户、1819人，分12个村民小组。[1]
概况[edit]
耕地310亩。集体收入主要靠发包鱼塘、租出山地和商铺；村民种水稻、养鱼鹅猪，或外出打工，2009年人均纯收入7910元。[1] 2020年12月，赤坎村进入2020年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单；2026年1月被评为广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
赤坎在新中国成立前归银江乡，1953年初的高级社并入道悦乡合作社。1958年后，辖内3个自然村单立赤坎生产大队。1986年为赤坎管理区，1998年起为赤坎村民委员会。[1]
