历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前后长湖属高要二区，称长湖乡；1953年起归四区，1955年归新桥区。1958年建长湖大队，1979年大队一分为二，另立湾边大队。以后经乡、村委会、管理区，至1998年定名村民委员会。[1]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村介绍中记有：1598人、403户，党员34名，上年集体经济收入2.8万元，农民人均纯收入7740元。[1] 2024年4月，长湖村被列入广东省首批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
