历史沿革[edit]

镇村委会设在这里，故名怀乡村。[2]

民国年间隶怀乡卫；1955年隶怀乡乡；1958年改编为怀乡大队。此后乡政府、管理区办事处等名称几度更替，1999年起定称怀乡村民委员会。[1]

  • 2023年5月，经广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

经济[edit]

村里种植水稻、木薯，副业和特色产业有竹器编织、毛纺织；据博雅地名网，上一年全村经济总收入约2528万元（年份未注明）。[1]

村里几乎家家户户都编织竹器；近年又引进毛纺织业，用来解决就业，现有毛纺织厂十余家。[1]
