旺和村属广东省茂名市信宜市怀乡镇，位于镇域南部，是镇下辖的24个行政村之一。[1]据博雅地名网所载，村内设19个村民小组，登记512户、共2210人，村域面积6.2平方千米，耕地约537.2亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

当地有一片坑田，种稻连年丰收，起初叫旺禾坑，后改称旺和。[2]

原属中垌大队；1980年中垌大队拆分为横冲、中垌、旺和三个大队。此后乡政府、管理区办事处等名称几度更替，1999年起定称旺和村民委员会。[1]

  • 2023年5月，经广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
  • 2019年9月，名列2018年度广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单。[1]

经济[edit]

村里种植水稻，副业和特色产业有竹器编织、木薯、生姜、三黄鸡；据博雅地名网，上一年全村经济总收入约522万元（年份未注明）。[1]

村里重点发展种植和养殖，种有生姜等作物。[1]
