平田的记载自1958年新安公社成立起：那时叫平田大队；1983年撤公社建区公所，改称平田乡；1987年2月归镇管，设村民委员会；1989年又改称管理区办事处[1]。

经济[edit]

村里的主要作物是水稻，特色收入来自黄皮、红杨桃；该网所列上一年「农村经济总收入」为2579万元（年份未注明）[1]。

荣誉[edit]

  • 2020年8月，广东省农业农村厅公布「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村名单」，平田村以黄皮果上榜[1]。
