村子周围是沙质的坡地，故名沙坡[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1963年，原沙坡、林屋两个大队合并为沙坡大队；此后1983年成沙坡乡，1986年成农村管理区，1999年起称沙坡村民委员会[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，沙坡村入选广东省卫生村名录；同年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单[1]。
