总面积3.2平方公里，地势平坦，总人口5500人，耕地1770亩，种水稻、花生、香蕉、玉米和蔬菜；约七成村民做建筑、运输、经商或养殖。村内有小学一所。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
闸口自1958年立大队，属吴阳公社；1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年至1999年称管理区，1999年重称闸口村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，闸口村被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
