概况[edit]
东街山原是干水县衙旧址东侧环绕的小山，先民便以此为村名。[1]干水县遗址在东街山村，位于沙铲河边，面积约1万平方米，是唐武德五年（622年）设置的招义县、天宝元年（742年）改名干水县的县城所在，遗址内留有唐代器物和一口古井。[2]
1949至1953年称东街山乡，1954年改为大队，1983年复称乡，1986年为村委会，1990年为管理区，2000年再称村委会。[1]
村内现有772户3535人，其中党员80人；出产红橙、山地鸡和甘蔗（据博雅地名网村情，年份未注明）。2021年1月，东街山村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」名单。[1]
