黄沙村是高州市古丁镇下辖的行政村。村民以此地为旺气之地，原名旺沙，后来因与当时石龙镇的旺沙重名，改称黄沙。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时黄沙一带属沙河乡，合作化时设旺沙高级社，公社化后设旺沙大队；1980年12月，旺沙大队易名黄沙。其后依次变为乡（1983年）、农村管理区（1986年）和村民委员会（1999年以后），名称始终是黄沙。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，黄沙村列入2018年度省级「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位之列。2020年8月，广东省农业农村厅公布「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」，黄沙村以番薯入选。2021年12月获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2022年1月被广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
