大井社区是广东省高州市大井镇政府所在地，城乡分类属镇中心区，居民委员会于1994年设立。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，这里是清井乡。新中国成立后的1950年，先后划入茂名县第六区和第十四区；此后建大井乡（1957年）、大井公社（1958年），并在1983年改为大井区。大井镇于1986年11月28日设立，各乡随之改称村民委员会。居民委员会成立于1994年11月10日，现名大井社区居民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

居民委员会所在地有一口井，社区又与当地的大井村相结合，由此得名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，大井社区被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
