名称由来[edit]

很久以前，有一位名叫莫亨的莫姓人到此居住，村称莫亨，后谐音为木坑。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

原归文村大队管辖，1960年分出，设立木坑大队；1983年起称木坑乡；木坑农村管理区一名始于1986年；1999年改由村民委员会管理，至今未变。[1]

2021年12月，该村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
