秧义村在吴阳镇东北部，濒临南海，含秧义、芝蔼、蛤岭、姓李、亚伯、较场6条自然村；其中蛤岭、芝蔼两村的文明村建设获得各级肯定。[1][2]

人口经济[edit]

村域面积3.8平方公里，约1100户、5330人。村民早年以渔业、农业为生，改革开放后外出从事建筑业，使吴阳成为粤西有名的建筑之乡。[1]

文化[edit]

蛤岭人捐资3500多万元，建成蛤岭文化中心、十里荷塘、公园和水塔；芝蔼人捐资1200多万元，建了广场、文化楼和东泉公园。这两村分别在2002年10月、2005年10月获中央文明委授予「全国创建文明村镇先进单位」。[2]

蛤岭村[edit]

蛤岭村总面积700余亩，有218户、1300多人。据百度百科，清乾隆年间化州人陈元宾来吴川谋生，途经此地，见荷塘环绕、有一岭形似青蛙（吴川话称“蛤”），遂定居并取名蛤岭。[3]蛤岭村还在2019年9月进入广东省文化和旅游厅认定的第一批特色村名单。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

秧义大队成立于1961年，由海山、上郭、那蒙和塘尾东海各分出若干自然村合并而成；1978年拆为海丰、秧义、较场三队，1983年合为秧义村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」；2022年10月被命名为「2022年全国示范性老年友好型社区」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
