人口经济[edit]
全村4335人，811户，耕地1512亩，人均不到0.35亩，宅基地300多亩。自1978年起围海造田，后来又筑塘养殖，现有虾塘、鱼塘2100多亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
大坉早年属桥头（1952年起，隶芷寮小公社），1964年分出大坉大队；1983年改乡委会，其后改称村民委员会（1987年）和村委会（1989年）。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」；2021年1月入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1]
