地名由来[edit]
因辖区内有明代古建筑双峰塔（又称文塔）而得名；博雅地名网称，村名也取自双峰塔民间所传的“文笔、花塔”之说。[1]
人口经济[edit]
面积5.3平方公里，共6条自然村（黄屋、姚村、包城、坡尾、三柏儿、塔脚），1100多户、5200多人，耕地1900多亩、林地2800多亩；以水稻、花生为主，兼营畜牧、渔业和养虾。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
文塔1952年起属限口，1961年成立文塔大队；1978年曾与姚村分设，1982年合一；1983年改乡委会，1987年称管理区，1999年定名文塔村委会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
双峰塔建于明万历二十七年（1599年），是知县周应鳌主持建造的八角七层砖塔，通高23.15米，位于塔脚村一带，为广东省文物保护单位。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年1月，文塔村入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」。[1]
