革命史迹[edit]

革命年代，村中有7人牺牲。留存的遗迹有上能小学革命旧址、上能革命祠堂旧址和上能抗日根据地；全村9条自然村里有7条（宁根、姓文、姓李、余新、新勇、中垌黄、杨屋坡）被评为革命老区村庄。[1]

人口经济[edit]

面积2800多亩，约1260多户、6786人；一面种经济作物，一面外出务工经商。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新勇自1958年立大队；1983年改乡，1987年起为村委会，1989年改称管理区，1999年定名新勇村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，新勇村被列为「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
