五和村是吴川市樟铺镇下辖的行政村，辖塘尾、瑶头、后埇、塘底4条自然村，总人口3230人，4村均为革命老区村庄[1]。

历史沿革与地名[edit]

博雅地名网称，五和一名约在公元1400年前后出现，原是五和圩的简称；圩周围原有南巢、塘尾、瑶头、后埇、银埇、新塘、塘底7个村落，居民有李、陈、谢三姓，取名有和睦相处之意[1]。民国时曾设五和乡公所，1950年至1974年归南巢大队管辖，1975年设五和大队，1998年起为五和村民委员会[1]。

经济[edit]

全村耕地1800亩，种水稻、蕃薯、甜玉米、花生；特色产业是淡水养殖和猪苗繁育，有水塘近700亩，养殖奥尼鱼、草鱼、鲢鱼、鳊鱼[2]。塘尾村的吴川市良伟泰农牧有限公司，博雅地名网称是湛江市内规模最大的种猪养殖企业，有能繁母猪2000多头，年产猪苗近3万头；再生棉花加工业在村里历史较久[2]。村里有塘尾、瑶头2所小学，学生600多人[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

五境古庙据载始建于隋朝末年，革命战争年代曾是党组织的据点和革命者的藏身处，被批准为革命文物保护单位[2]。
