龙头村是东山街道下辖的行政村，名称由龙安、龟头两个旧村名各取一字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

龙头在1983年是龙头乡，三年后降为管理区。到1999年，原来的龙安、龟头、外坡被拆成三个村委会，2005年三者重新合在一起，就是今天的龙头村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，龙头村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
