五里村是南三镇下辖的行政村，村委会驻地原是五里村，清代已列入南三都的村坊[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

村名来自村委会驻地的原五里村；后来五里村与南边地村合并为五南村，原来的五里村便成了历史地名[2]。清雍正年间，五里为南三都十三村坊之一，光绪年间为南三都十八村坊之一[1]。

1950年称五里乡，属吴川县第九区（南三区）；1953年南三改隶雷东县四区，五里随之划入；1957年又并入雷东县巴东乡，1958年改称五里大队，归南三公社。1961年五里大队分为岭尾、五里两个大队，属南三区巴东公社。1983年称五里乡，1987年改称五里村委会，隶南三镇，1990年称管理区，1999年改称村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。
