历史沿革[edit]

牛江圩镇居民委员会于1986年成立；1998年10月，恩平市人民政府批准其定名牛江镇圩镇社区居民委员会，名称延续至今。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据地名资料，旧时牛冈河流经此地，河两岸的小山冈是各处买卖耕牛的集散地，故名“牛冈”；“冈”与“江”在当地口语同音，后写作牛江，社区所在的圩镇也由此得名。[1]
