地名由来[edit]
三条自然村里黄坭坦规模较大，村委会沿用它的名字；后来“坭”字改写作通行的“泥”，成为现名。[1]

全村287户、1215人，耕地1205亩，村集体办有一间礼粉厂。[1]
典型村培育[edit]
2023年5月，所辖牛围村入选2022年广东省卫生村。[1] 黄泥坦村是牛江镇的广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村培育对象：计划建设马铃薯雾培育种的育种基地和火煤岭“共富果园”，并拓宽火煤岭的村道；人居环境整治工程已在5月底前后基本完成。[1][2]
