双龙村是宅梧镇中部的山区行政村，北邻漱云村，东接荷村，南面是堂马村，西面是下沙村和靖村。下有9条自然村：表村、秀坑、沙中、沙上、沙下、隆田、大陂、榴花坪和塘勾。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来自旧时云龙乡与龙泉乡合并后的“双龙乡”。清代属鹤山县双桥都，民国属第四区；1954年称双龙乡，1958年为宅梧公社双龙大队，1986年称双龙管理区，1998年改为双龙村民委员会。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

村里现有3784人（未注明年份），耕地4100亩，其中水田2800亩、旱地1300亩，另有林地9600亩。建有双龙无公害蔬菜基地，“三瓜两豆”出名，也产荔枝，养鹅业规模逐渐扩大。[1]

鹤山2018至2035年的宅梧镇总体规划把双龙列为中心村之一，规划人口规模2000至3000人。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，双龙村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2023年5月，秀坑村、隆田村、沙上村获评2022年度省卫生村；2024年3月，双龙村本身获评2023年度省卫生村。[1]
