人口与经济[edit]
全村有2037人（未注明年份），以务农为主，水田2206.6亩，出产稻谷、西瓜、莲藕、马蹄和粉葛。1980年建成的虹岭水库库容120万立方米，集雨面积7.4平方千米。[1]
2017年11月，村里引进企业承包46.66公顷林地种植夏威夷果，2018年11月种下首批果苗，2022年10月首次收成，当年产量预计在4000公斤以上；企业还建了良种繁育基地，向村民提供果苗并统一收购。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
清代属鹤山县双桥都，民国属第四区；1954年与荷村合称荷选乡，1958年为宅梧公社选田大队，1983年称选田乡，1986年称选田管理区，1998年改为选田村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年12月，选田村进入国家林业和草原局公布的第二批国家森林乡村名单；2022年1月，省乡村振兴局把它列为2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位；2026年1月，评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
