人口与经济[edit]
据资料，村内常住3095人，外来人口约36人（未注明年份）。农业以瓜果蔬菜为主：粉葛、荷兰豆、节瓜、苦瓜、西瓜和荔枝都有种植。[1]
荷村是宅梧镇的主要荔枝产区，桂味荔枝以果肉晶莹、核小味甜为人所称。2025年的报道提到村里有一片百年荔枝园，30多棵树龄过百年的荔枝树仍在结果；村党委提出把桂味荔枝做成“一村一品”的特色品牌。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
清代属鹤山县双桥都，民国属第四区；1954年与选田合称荷选乡，1958年为宅梧公社荷村大队，1983年称荷村乡，1986年称荷村管理区，1998年改为荷村村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，荷村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2023年5月，荷东村、荷西村获评2022年度省卫生村；2026年3月，认定为「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」。[1]
