历史沿革[edit]

村名来自村委会所在的月光村。清代隶开平县古博都，民国年间划归月山区月明乡，新中国成立后称月明乡，其后为月山公社月明大队（月明管区），1984年改乡人民政府，1989年改管理区；1993年撤县设市后归开平市月山镇，到1999年定名月明村民委员会。[1]
