大布村是江门市开平市马冈镇所辖的行政村之一，村委会在镇区北面，距镇政府6公里[1]。下分16个村民小组，村情材料记载人口3523人、898户，耕地2530亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

原管理区办事处设在大布村，由此得名[1]。

清代隶属恩平县长居都，民国年间划入恩平县第六区。1955年从恩平六区转为大布乡，1974年楼堂分出，大布称大布大队。此后建制依次改为乡（1984年）和管理区（1989年）；开平1993年撤县设市时划归马冈镇，到1999年成为村民委员会；2004年，楼堂村、张屋村两个村民委员会并入大布村民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

村委会管辖区的人口为3523人（898户），其中劳动力约2200人[1]。
