历史沿革[edit]
原村民委员会设在大厂村，后迁到大厂站，名称沿用[1]。
清代隶属开平县长静都，民国年间划入第二区振兴乡。新中国成立后归第十一区，1955年属马冈区。此后建制依次改为乡（1984年）和管理区（1989年）；开平1993年撤县设市时划归马冈镇，到1999年成为村民委员会[1]。
人口民族[edit]
村委会管辖区的人口为2450人（601户），其中劳动力约915人[1]。
经济[edit]
村集体2009年的收入为4万元，农民人均年收入为2500元[1]。
大厂村与荣塘村共建凉粉草种植基地，产出供马冈凉粉研发推广中心使用[2]。
文化[edit]
广东省爱国卫生运动委员会在2017年10月，把大厂村列入「第一批广东省卫生村」[1]。
