上郭村是江门市开平市马冈镇所辖的行政村之一，村委会在镇区东北面，距镇政府2公里[1]。下分6个村民小组，村情材料记载人口2200人、450户，耕地2000亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

建村时村民多姓郭，村旁有河，村落在河的上游，故称上郭[1]。

清代隶属开平县长静都，民国年间划入开平县第二区振兴乡。新中国成立后归第十一区，1955年划归开平县，1963年属马冈公社，称上郭大队。此后建制依次改为乡（1984年）和管理区（1989年）；开平1993年撤县设市时划归马冈镇，到1999年成为村民委员会[1]。

村委会管辖区的人口为2200人（450户），其中劳动力约1460人[1]。

村集体2009年的收入为5.3万元，农民人均年收入为3442元[1]；村里有党员38人[1]。
