东方村是广东省江门市台山市四九镇的行政村，在镇境北部，与五十圩以及上蓢、车蓢、玄潭、五四等村相邻，到台城约7公里。[1]

据镇政府2026年发布的村情简介，全村下分11个村民小组，396户，总人口1383人，耕地近3000亩，以种水稻为主。[1] 音乐家李凌出生于四九镇永庆村，东方村的村民小组中就有永庆；村内建有李凌党史教育基地。[1][2][3] 此外，东方村被评为「江门市乡村旅游示范村」。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期称东方乡，属台山县第1区。1958年成立四九公社东方大队，1986年起改称管理区，1999年改设村委会。[1]

东方村先后得到「江门市基层党建示范村（社区）」「台山市先进基层党组织」「台山市先进党支部」「四九镇先进党支部」等称号。[1]

全村主要种水稻，耕地2920亩，水田占2632亩，旱地288亩。[1] 集体收入方面，村委会每年21.73万元，各村民小组共45.99万元。[1] 村里设有卫生站、文化室和老人会，水泥路和自来水已通到每个自然村。[1]

文化[edit]

李凌党史教育基地设在东方村委会的东边龙村，是一座两层的展馆，建筑面积520平方米。馆内分六个部分，借助实物、图片和声光电手段，介绍李凌参加抗日救亡活动、投身新音乐事业的经历。[2]

著名人物[edit]

李凌（1913—2003年），音乐家，1913年12月28日生于四九镇永庆村的华侨家庭，曾用名李绿永。1938年赴延安鲁迅艺术学院学习音乐，此后在重庆创办新音乐社、主编《新音乐》月刊；1949年后历任中央乐团团长、中国音乐学院院长等职。[3]
