东方村是梅州市丰顺县汤南镇的行政村。村委会设在龙山埔，该地坐西向东，取旭日东升之意，故名“东方”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
前身是解放初的合山初高级社，1958年为汤南公社下的合山大队，此后改名东方，先后为乡（1984年）、村委会（1987年）、管理区（1992年），1999年再回到村委会。[1]
人口与荣誉[edit]
据博雅地名网，全村辖50个村民小组，在册1335户，6469人，总面积6.8平方公里，耕地1056亩。2026年1月，该村被评为省内第二批“百千万工程”的典型村。[1]
