照明社区是佛山市高明区荷城街道北面的城乡结合社区，因辖区内有佛山照明这家大型企业而得名。[1][4]共有17条自然村，官棠、沙寮、马宁等都在其中，官棠村是革命老区村；陆家古村落所在的榴村也在社区内。[2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

明清和民国时，辖区各村分属范洲都、泰和围或普安乡；1951年12月起陆续划入高明县。1983年起属富湾区，后属富湾镇。2004年官棠、杜江、榴村三个村委会撤销，设立照明居委会，2005年区划调整后改属荷城街道。2019年，社区管辖范围重新划定，东至西江，南到智湖路，西接西安河。[3]

社区概况[edit]

社区距街道办事处约15公里。简介称常住约1200户、4560人，辖区内有11个居民小组属工业园区全征地村，佛山照明等20多家企业已投产；横江、塘美、榴边等村分别被评为市、区级「十好和谐文明村」（简介未注明年份）。[2]

榴村的陆家古村落始建于明代，现存古屋68座，均是三间两廊、镬耳风火山墙、龙船脊，有8个门楼、8条古巷，总面宽133.43米，深67.5米，西面有两座古祠堂。[5]

2023年5月沙寮村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号，2026年3月社区被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
