苏村是佛山市高明区荷城街道内城乡结合的行政村，位于西江河畔。村处鱼米之乡，名字由鱼、草、禾三字拼合出繁体的苏字而来，取鱼肥、草茂、禾丰之意。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时，苏村属依仁乡阮埇都，民国时属三区秀丽乡。1951年12月起归阮埇乡；1958年成立苏村大队，隶属高鹤县三洲公社。1986年，苏村乡从三洲镇划出，归高明镇管辖；1987年设村委会，1999年9月属荷城街道。[2]

2004年，苏村村委会撤销，设立上秀丽村委会；2019年6月25日上秀丽村委会撤销，重新设置阮埇村委会与苏村村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，苏村进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2023年5月，上巷村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年8月，苏村进入佛山市「百千万工程」第二批典型镇村名单，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
