育才社区是佛山市高明区荷城街道内的城区社区，辖区有一条育才路，社区因此得名。[1][4]下辖江山、何族、幕江、海口、棠吉、勤学、棠美7个居民小组，辖区面积约4.9平方千米。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

石岐村明清时属依仁乡，民国时属三区普安乡，1958年设石岐大队，隶属高鹤县三洲公社，1984年设高明镇后改属该镇。1993年起设育才、永兴、文竹三个居委会，1994年又增设红荔居委会，并把石歧村委会改成居委会；2004年红荔居委会部分地区并入育才居委会，2006年石岐、永兴居委会也并入，属高明区荷城街道。[3]

社区概况[edit]

社区东起沿江路（西江河），南到高明大道（沧江河），北至文华路。简介称居民约8231户、人口约3.62万人（未注明年份）；沿江路一带有灵龟公园、灵龟塔、唐代龙窑遗址和钱币博物馆等，高明一中、高明二中和石岐小学等学校位于文华路一带。[2]

2023年5月，育才社区的勤学村、何族村、幕江村、江山村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2021年12月社区获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
