槎涌社区是佛山市顺德区北滘镇西南部的社区，面积2.275平方千米，佛山一环与三乐公路穿过社区。[1][2]

名称由来与沿革[edit]

明代，黎、郑二姓先到此定居；后来战乱，别的姓氏乘大木筏顺流而下来此避难，村名因此改为「槎涌」，意为木筏之涌。[1]1950年以前槎涌乡属第三区；1958年并入黄槎大队，1962年又分出自成一个大队；1989年称管理区，2001年改设居委会。[1]

社区概况[edit]

据社区自述，本地常住1853人，外来暂住8500余人；居委会和股份社各开辟一个工业区，进驻企业128家，做家具、塑料配件、五金家电、装饰材料和食品。[2]2012年辖区的工农业总产值为2.5956亿元。[2]2008年，社区将旧小学改建为社区活动中心，建筑面积3155平方米；还在修葺郑家祠、黎家祠、黎公祠等老建筑。[2]
