西滘村是佛山市顺德区北滘镇西部的行政村，面积3.967平方千米，东邻高村，西邻上僚，北临潭洲水道，南与莘村相接，距镇中心约2.5千米。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

据《广东省顺德市地名志》，西滘建村于宋代，原叫西雍乡；清雍正年间避皇帝名讳，又因村在细河之西，改称西溪乡。村原属南海县，明景泰三年划入顺德，后来称西滘。[1]民国及新中国成立初称西滘乡，1950年属第四区；1958年成立大队，1959年归北滘公社，1998年设村委会。[1]

全村分桥东、桥西、伍坊、清沙四个自然村，设四个村民小组。[2]2013年底统计，全村1495户，其中户籍居民5437人，另有外来流动人口5343人。[2]村里的93家企业雇工约3000人，行业集中在五金加工、家具、纸制品，工农业总产值4.38亿元，其中工业3.8亿元；2013年股份合作社收入1500万元，每股分红3000元。[2]

村福利会向年满60岁的长者每月发放100元生果金，对考上本科第二批A线及以上院校的学生一次性奖励5000元；2014年8月共有17人获奖，奖金8.5万元。[2]龙舟是村里的传统强项：2013年国庆「美的杯」龙舟赛，西滘包揽女子组第一、二名；2014年北滘镇龙舟大赛获男子组第一名。[2]2020至2022年，西滘三度列入淘宝村名单。[1]
