莘村是佛山市顺德区北滘镇西面的行政村，面积约5.8平方千米，分新沙、冲元、冲口、麦岸四个村民小组。[1][2]村里保存着曾氏、梁氏等多座宗祠，其中曾氏大宗祠建于明天启年间。[1][2]

名称与沿革[edit]

传说最早在此开村的是辛姓人家，村子叫辛村；后来叶姓迁入，认为单用辛姓不足以代表全村，便在「辛」字上加了繁体「葉」字的草字头，定名莘村。[1]1958年成立大队，1959年归北滘公社，1998年挂牌成立莘村村委会。[1]

经济与设施[edit]

据村里2014年的统计，年底常住12135人，户籍6135人，外来人口6000多人；党员222名。[1][2]村内有企业68家，以制鞋、家具、五金为主，农业以水产养殖和花木种植为主；2014年股份分红每股3918元。[2]村里有篮球场6个、老人活动中心5个、公园4个，新沙公园2013年竣工，约30亩。[2]2020年起，莘村连续三年上了淘宝村名单。[1]

祠堂[edit]

村内各姓氏建有祠堂，如梁氏正伦堂、梁氏大夫祠、文一公祠，曾大学堂、曾氏家塾，以及李氏、麦氏、劳家祠等。[2]曾氏大宗祠又称宗圣南支，约建于1621至1627年，1889年重修，坐东向西，三间三进，宽13.1米、深43.2米。[1]梁大夫祠在义学街，建于清代后期，三间两进，左侧另带一座二层的砖石书楼。[1]梁氏文一公祠名裕德堂，三间两进。[1]
