名称与沿革[edit]
因村头渡口种有三株桂花树而得名。[1]民国时属桂马乡，新中国成立初期属第三区；1958年归陈村公社，称三桂大队，1959年改属北滘公社，1999年起称三桂村委会。[1]
概况[edit]
据村里统计，常住6621人，其中户籍4195人。[1][2]2014年，村与村民小组两级的集体收入共600万元，大多是土地租金；每位股民年分红1800元，村民人均年收入15500元。[2]有工业用地60亩（企业35家），以塑料加工、家具制造和五金加工为主；农用地1100亩，种观赏花木和年桔。[2]
村分中心、桂东、新基、桂南西四个片区，各设一座公园和一条健身路径；近年翻修的祠堂有申锡堂、翠岩公祠和学祠街上的一座祠堂。[2]三桂在2013年10月获「佛山市生态村」称号。[2]
