佛山一环绕村而过，三乐路傍村而过。[2]村里自述常住约4125人，另有流动人口约8000人；党员172名；集体资产分两个资产办和两个股份合作社管理，共有股东3696人。[2]村内有200多家企业，以五金电器、装饰材料为主，农业以水产养殖和花卉种植为主；2010、2011、2012年的工农业总产值分别为4.3亿、4.8亿、5.3亿元。[2]
文化[edit]
村里保存有陈氏、杜氏等祠堂，每年在祠堂办集体庆典，邀请港澳和海外族人回乡；古建筑有已有一百多年历史的虎龙桥，村内另有龙溪休闲公园等4个公园。[2]黄龙冬瓜节是镇内的乡村文化品牌活动之一。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2021年2月，司法部、民政部将黄龙村列入「第八批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」，当年9月它又被认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2022年10月上了淘宝村名单；2025年3月获「第七届全国文明村镇」命名；2026年1月，广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村名单收入了它。[1]
