林头社区是佛山市顺德区北滘镇东部的社区，东临潭洲水道，距镇中心约1.5千米，辖区2.89平方千米，是一处保留水乡格局的古村落。[1][2]

名称与历史沿革[edit]

林头旧称桂头，据说唐代起就有人居住，早先归南海县西淋都都宁司管辖。[1]顺德建县（1452年）后，这里划入桂林堡，在桂林堡八乡中居首，有「桂林首步」（一说「首墙」）之称，清光绪年间改称林头。[1][3]百度百科则说林头开村于南宋时期。[4]1952年8月，林头南乡与北乡合为一乡；1958年改作生产大队，其后又称乡、称管理区，直到2001年9月撤村改设社区。[1]

社区概况[edit]

105国道、三乐东线公路穿过社区。[2]2010年，林头社区获国家级「充分就业示范社区」称号；2019年9月，又进入广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2018年度）。[1][2]各小组都建有小公园，太平沙、林苑、北村便是其中几处；修好的祠堂分别当作老人活动中心、图书馆和诗书画学会的活动场所。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

林头现存七座明清古桥，形成沿河建屋、街巷铺石的水乡格局。[4]郑氏大宗祠又名树德堂，建于康熙五十九年（1720年），格局为三路五间四进，宽约38.6米、深约62.3米，建筑面积2405平方米。[1]梁氏二世祖祠位于圩地街，始建于明末清初，由头门和后堂组成。[1]大通桥是跨越村中小涌的单孔石拱桥，嘉庆二十五年（1820年）重修，长23米、宽4米。[1]此外还有梁门冯氏贞节牌坊、双溪祖祠、秀所祖祠、孖祠堂等。[3]林头人郑际泰为清康熙年间进士，郑际泰、郑苌的书法在香港中文大学和顺德博物馆有藏品。[3]
