华口社区属广东省佛山市顺德区容桂街道，位于街道东南部，与中山市相邻，面积5.3平方千米，分22个居民小组，是顺德国家级高新技术产业园区所在地之一[2]。它原属中山县，1958年划入顺德[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

华口原先在中山县，属第九区大黄圃一带；1958年10月才划归顺德县，当年年底与华涌、细沙、天九合并成华口大队，新地公社成立（1961年）后归其管辖。1983年改隶桂洲区，称华口乡；1987年起称华口村，1989年立管理区；1998年改立村民委员会，2001年撤村改居[1]。

地名由来[edit]

现华口一带原叫“华桶村”，1952年与邻近的“细沙村”合并，改叫华口[3]。

人口与经济[edit]

村情说，2010年底户籍5323人，流动人口逾6万；社区建有细沙、聚龙两个工业区，企业400多家，商铺1041间，产值上亿的有华声实业、万喜电器等[2]。
