河村社区在里水镇，相传南宋咸淳年间（1265至1274年），何姓人家从南雄珠玑巷迁到这里定居[1]。

2011年“村改居”后，原河村村民委员会改设居民委员会[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前，河村属南海县二区北胜乡；解放初是八区河村乡；人民公社时期为河村生产大队；1984年改乡，1987年设村委会，1990年起叫管理区；1999年又称村委会，2011年改设居民委员会[1]。

经济与荣誉[edit]

河村社区2020至2022年连续三年列入淘宝村名单[1]。2024年8月，它列入佛山市「百千万工程」第二批典型镇村；2025年5月，入选「2025—2026年全国示范性老年友好型社区」创建名单；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
