历史沿革[edit]
民国十六年（1927年）属八区先登堡，1946年属一区先登乡；土改结束后改立河岗乡，1958年秋叫河岗大队。[2]
1959年9月，民乐公社从西樵公社分出，河溪大队同时从河岗大队分离。1961年8月，河岗又编成河岗、稔岗两个大队；1963年，河溪、河岗、稔岗三队合并，1966年稔岗再度独立，成立「五七」大队。[2]
1983年底成立河岗乡，其后改称行政村、管理区，1999年5月设村民委员会；2013年「村改居」，设立河岗居民委员会。[2]
经济[edit]
西樵镇把河岗纺织产业转型升级示范区，作为推广「工业上楼」、提升纺织产业的一项重点。[3]2026年3月，河岗社区被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
