大同社区是佛山市南海区西樵镇的社区。相传南宋咸淳年间，始祖程氏从南雄珠玑巷迁来，村名原作大桐，后因康有为倡「大同学说」，改称大同。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据地名资料，程氏始祖见灶岗上有一棵高大的梧桐树，认为是吉祥之地，便在此定居，取名「大桐」；后来南海人康有为提倡「大同学说」，村名随之改为大同。^[1]

民国十六年（1927年）归一区大桐堡管，其后为大同乡、九江区大同南乡；并乡时（1957年）划入西南乡。1958年9月，大同成为九江公社的一个大队；1961年大同公社设立，分出柏山、绿涌两个大队，1963年2月再合为大同大队。^[2]

1983年底成立大同乡，1987年起称行政村，其后改称管理区；1994年3月起纳入西樵山旅游度假区的范围。1999年5月起设村民委员会，2013年「村改居」，设立大同居民委员会。^[2]

大同社区在2020年至2022年连续入选淘宝村名单。^[1]
